About the Book

Elizabeth and John MacCathy set out on a long journey across the untamed territories to begin a new life out west. After John’s livery burned, they packed their belongings and joined a wagon train, only to leave it and fend for themselves at the Mississippi river. They meet Indians and outlaws along the way only to fall prey to gold fever. John abandons Lizzie on the trail and she is left to finish the journey on her own.

About the Author

Ann is originally from Virginia and now resides in a small town in Montana with her husband. She has always had a love for animals, taking in every stray she could when she was young. Now, together with her husband, they have miniature donkeys and horses, goats, cattle and Mustang horses. Ann Began writing poetry when she was ten and the love of writing has never stopped. She now writes novels of her beloved west.
