About the Book

This is the third book in the “Sam” series. Sam is an eight year old boy who lives in the small, Texas, Hill Country town of Utopia. Sam’s parents are divorced and he lives with his mom but still maintains a good relationship with his father. Sam’s father is taking Sam and his best-friend Bobby on a camping trip. Sam is excited because he loves camping and best of all he is going to get to share this experience with his father and his best-friend. Sam is a Christian and has been saved for a short while but he makes himself available to God’s will in his life. Jesus is Sam’s best friend and he wants Jesus to be his father’s best friend also. About the Author

My Name is Johnny P. Ruiz, I am 41 years old. I am a father of four children, two beautiful girls and two wonderful boys. I am married to the most beautiful and gracious woman in the world, Esmeralda Ruiz (Emmy). Emmy also does all my editing. I am a disabled veteran of the Gulf War. I was a Law Enforcement officer for over ten years where I specialized in crimes against children. I investigated cases of all types of abuse on children and God gave me a heart to minister to children through my books. I am blessed to serve on the ministry team at my church’s children program. I have been called to the ministry to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to children and their parents through my stories.
