About the Author

Cynthia M. is a 23-year-old graduate student who is working towards a Master’s in Clinical Psychology. She is engaged to a phenomenal man whom she loves deeply. She is comforted by books, has a passion for music, and sings arias and art songs informally. Growing up, writing had always been a struggle. Teachers tried everything to elicit some talent, but none could be found. Cynthia was told that writing was “just not your thing.” Remaining a hobby, Cynthia continued to write short stories, and later learned to write poetry. Having this opportunity is not something she ever expected.
