About the Book
Michael and Me was written for parents, educators and children to start the conversation early as to what is meant by a transgender person. It is written for those who have not had the benefit of knowing a transgender person, to explain why it is important for one to affirm ones identity. It uses easy to understand terms and concepts, a valuable tool to increase tolerance and decrease discrimination. It confirms the importance that self acceptance and acceptance of other's diversity, promises the possibilities of beautiful friendships.
About the Author
Margaret Baker-Street was born and raised in the large metropolitan area of San Jose, California, so she is no stranger to diversity. She is a life coach living in Lodi, California with her husband, Joe, and two kids, Colin and Shannon. She doesn’t let anyone tell her or her family that they are anything less than beautiful. Margaret is a co-organizer of the Stockton chapter of PFLAG. She is very active in the LGBTQ community as an ally, and an active volunteer at the San Joaquin Pride Center. Please enjoy this book and promote Margaret’s beliefs in love and equality for all.
