This book shows the important part of Kahn’s philosophy and his works of architecture together as sources of inspiration, which would bring about the architecture of new generations.

About the Author

Junko Tsuchida received a Doctorate in Architecture from Kogakuin University in Tokyo. Her research is focused on the architect Louis I. Kahn. She has presented papers on several occasions since 2004, at the International Conference of Science and Humanities in Tokyo (2004) , and Hawaii International Conference on Arts and Humanities (2006, 2007, 2009), the American Culture Association National Conference (2005, 2006, 2009), and the Humanities Education and Research Association Conference (2011) in the United States. She is a contributor in the book Searching for America: Essays on Art and Architecture (2006). She is a licensed architect in Japan and has practiced for more than a decade. She has also taught at a college in Tokyo. Now, she lives in California.
