About the Book

Arelle was born in brutal times—when human life wasn’t worth much. She was eighteen when Count Penn took her kingdom and killed her parents, who were the king and queen. Arelle fled the kingdom with her lady in waiting and best friend, Mayall. They were hidden and protected by serving girls as Arelle fought to get her kingdom back. There was also a prophecy of the time that a great queen would arise, who would unite the kingdoms and bring an end to war. Arelle is that queen, and this is her quest.

About the Author

James McKenzie is from Montrose, Michigan, and currently resides in Haslett, Michigan. He is retired from General Motors engineering. He is the author of the nine books of The Saga of the Princesses of the Light. He is a graduate of Michigan State University and is a die-hard Spartan, and he has been a season ticket holder for the women’s basketball team for many years. He has three children, whom he loves dearly, that he will never see again. He has coached football, baseball, basketball, and soccer in Haslett in the youth leagues. He is very proud of the young men and women that he has coached. He is also an inventor and is not a bad musician.
