Keanu, Nathan’s seven-year-old son, wanted to build a tree hut at his own place so that he could play in it with his friends and family. It is a big challenge to build a tree hut, and Keanu did not know where to start. So Keanu asked his dad for some advice. Do our digital natives spend too much time on electronic devices and the balance from physical activity? When Keanu asked the question, “Dad, let’s build a tree hut,” he leapt at the opportunity to assist his son in his quest to build a fort in the trees. Hopefully, this book will inspire other children to participate in physical outdoor activities.

About the Author

Nathan Richardson was born in Waimate, New Zealand, back in 1968, when there were no iPads or computers to play on. Building tree huts was a major pastime for kids back then. Since then, he has worked in the New Zealand Army and in the technology field in banking and finance.
