About the Book

Have you ever heard of a bird that was afraid of heights? Well, Augie is one such bird. Augie’s life was limited to his nest, where he lived with his fears. He was so afraid; he couldn’t even leave his nest to get out on the limb his nest rested upon. He lived with embarrassment as the other birds flew by, teasing him and laughing at him. Then one day, out of nowhere, Coleman the Cat showed up at Augie’s nest. That was when everything changed for Augie. The two struck up a rather unusual friendship, and what follows is how Coleman helps Augie deal with his fears and his insecurities. You’ll have to read the book, however, to see if Augie ever gets over his fears and really flies.
