About the Book

A young girl dressed in a mask and cape runs quietly through the backyard. She stops and tiptoes behind a large tree. She peeks around the corner; there she sees it—a dark shadow. The shadow was unaware of the danger that it was creating, but the Girl Hero: Shadow Stomper knew and knew what she had to do.

About the Author

I have always enjoyed creating stories. I have a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction with a specialization in outdoor teacher education. I have journeyed into the career of environmental education, and there I have found my passion of teaching youth and adults how to engage and connect with their environment. I also was involved in Toastmasters International. While creating a speech for a humorous contest, Girl Hero: Shadow Stomper was born. In her, I find myself as a young girl who enjoyed being outside and observing nature. I have been a freelance poetry writer for ArtCraft, where many of my poems were used for Breast Cancer Awareness Week, National Nursing Week, and National Volunteer Week, etc.
