About the Book

This little kindergartener, after seeing her mother constantly crying during the news, is driven to talk to God and see if He can explain her mother’s sorrow. She is a precocious child for her years; her parents are going through a divorce and Emma is questioning life in general. Children are close to nature and consequently close to God; they are innocent and then, as they grow, they must make choices about their life’s paths. Finally God opens up Emma’s heart by making her realize that life is a “spot of joy,” that each moment must be lived to the fullest. Emma thanks God for what He has given her in life and intends to live her life following Christ’s Path.

About the Author

am Martha Loizou Pantelides; God asked me to write this book both for all His Children and for me. It was a cathartic writing, a religiously under toned letter from a kindergartener to God asking why bad things happen to people. Being a devout Orthodox Christian, my faith has sustained me through numerous events throughout my life. The little girl is asking through prayer that she understand how God gives us choices and how we choose our own paths. I was always told that I had a gift for writing; I became an English teacher later in life as I love children; I also love to see them question and learn. I have always encouraged daily reading on all levels from PK-3 through Grade 12. Reading opens up a new world to us as does traveling; it is the nucleus of all learning. My dedication to my Christian faith is evident in my activity at church: choir member, Sunday School Director, member of the Parish Council, and past president of the Parish Council. Faith and family are my paramount priorities in life; they enable me to live and not just merely exist.
