About the Book

The Kernel and Pop began as an idea to help children learn God’s Word. With each story the reader has to make a decision about what to do to discover the consequences of each choice. The Kernel and Pop is an interactive book for parents to read with their children. At the end of the stories, there are discussion questions that the children may answer about the story, and the parent can discuss the children’s responses. Bible verses for the children and parents to learn follow the questions. Ms. Joanne truly wants her readers to learn what Jesus says is a way to lead a happy life.

About the Author

Ms. Joanne is a former English teacher and Sunday school teacher. She has taught all levels of Sunday school and the AWANA program. Ms. Joanne has also raised four children, who grew up learning favorite Bible verses and stories, and now they are teaching their children. Ms. Joanne lives in Mustang, Oklahoma, where she taught school for twenty years, and there she attends a dynamic church that invests in teaching children God’s Word. She is anxious for her children readers to learn about the Ten Commandments that Jesus gave to his children to live a happy life.
