About the Book
This book is the product of my grieving and wanting. How scary it was for me when my life changed—what it took to accept a major change. I wrote about the two things I have never understood: women and God. While I don’t believe in gods, I do think it’s a beautiful idea. And I find women just as beautiful, and they are just as impossible to understand.
About the Author
These writings came to me over a very dark and painful time in my life. Due to several injuries, work became very painful; this lasted about fifteen years. Those were very hard times, where nothing would work out. While going through some old journals, I found some notes on some meditations. The first of these writings was “Seraphim”—a combination of my notes and an event that happened to me after a woman hugged me for no apparent reason. While my writing has a lot of religious ideology, I am an atheist and my writings go back to my Catholic upbringing. Just because I consider myself an atheist does not mean I do not find my early teachings both rich and beautiful.
