About the Author

I am Oscar Kamazima, a young man from Tanzania, residing in Columbus, Ohio, and driven by the art of poetry, loved ones, and God. I was raised by a family that strengthened my faith even in the midst of life’s obstacles. While I am currently a full-time student with part-time employment, I’ve dedicated a lot of my time to writing poetry. My work has evolved significantly overtime due to life’s changes and the inspiration from my mentors, who have helped me tremendously along the way. Poetry has allowed me to express my thoughts and feelings in ways whereby others can relate and see what goes on in my mind. My parents have always been a huge part of my life, and sharing my work to the world is one way I can give back to them.
