Who lives in your backyard?
Oh! Lots and lots and lots of things
That walk and run and creep and crawl
And swim and hop and fly with wings.
They are different everywhere
From here to Timbucktoo.
Different furs and different scales
I'm sure you've noticed too.
Some have four feet, some have two
And some have none at all.
Some are short, and some are big
Or tall, or thin, or small.

About the Book
Shhh, be quiet and you will see.
Who really lives up in that tree.
Don't move a muscle, so you will spy.
The squirrels and birdies and frogs go by.
The beautiful butterflies dancing in air
And a hummingbird whizzes by over there.
They're all in your backyard, so easy to see
Come along with this book
And see them with me.
