About the Book

Welcome to Bucky’s world. Bucky has always been kind of different from a normal seven-year-old. He never has enough time in the day for all the adventures he dreams about. His trusted sidekick, the Navigator, helps with all the explorations. The Navigator has been with Bucky since birth. The Navigator was created by Bucky’s grandmother when he was born in honor of his grandfather, a World War II veteran of the air force. So with this, we can understand why the Navigator helps with courage and security they both need for each adventure. Bucky’s family sees Bucky as a normal little boy except for the fact he doesn’t ever want to participate socially with the other kids, unlike his older brother and other boys in the neighborhood who keep themselves busy with sports, all sports. Bucky’s parents and family members are unaware of his secret missions and the powers of the Navigator. Bucky dreams of the great adventure he and the Navigator will be asked to go on one day. Come join us in Bucky and the Navigator’s first adventure. I think you will agree he is an original boy wonder!

About the Author

My name is Kristina Pelot; I have lived in several different areas of the United States but now reside in the great state of Texas. Living here made me realize my dream of writing and that I could reach for the stars. I think there is warmth that flows through us as we think of our childhood. Our youth brings on a natural curiosity to things that are quite normal to adults. Always feeling awkward with other children our age opens the door to exploration and development in other ways. Bucky and his companion coexist out of my passion as a quilter and my childhood imagination. I think all of us can relate to someone as a child that loved his or her blanket. The child holding on for the security and comfort the blanket gave them is something not everyone can understand. I hope to bring a shared experience with your children as you go on an adventure with Bucky and the Navigator. Welcome to our world!
