About the Author

Samuel J. Formica travels to schools, performing a live show that teaches children the importance of nutrition by using puppets, magic, and comedy. After leaving the corporate food industry, he decided to put his years of food service experience to good use and have fun at the same time. Chef W. C. Gatchel is the character that Samuel created to be the central character in all his performances and now books. Samuel was born in 1964 in a small town in Pennsylvania. He is also an accomplished painter with works in numerous prestigious private collections and museums.
