About the Book
This book, Page of Roses, is the third book in a trilogy. Let Freedom Ring and The Last Grain Through the Hourglass are the first two. These books are a remarkable bit of American literature. The Robert Frost poem, The Road Not Taken, has inspired me to write Hour Glass. Finally, the Statue of Liberty is a symbol of the poem Let Freedom Ring. The last three lines of the Frost poem goes “Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.” I got the idea for Page of Roses from Hemingway, that if you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, it stays with you for rest of your life, for Paris is a movable feast.
