About the Book

Purpose Driven Creation endeavors to enhance our understanding of God’s reason for creating a spiritual and material existence and our role in creation by addressing themes that drive our Christian experience and commitment. To know the will of God for creation is to fathom the answer to the question the psalmist posed—“What is mankind that you show so much concern for them?” The book also details a theologically and philosophically viable apologetic, in a way not previously explored, to the question of the existence of pain, suffering, corruption, and evil in a world created by a good and almighty God. Also discussed are the existence of extraterrestrial life, the future, and free will as the driving force behind the fall. Easy-to-follow, biblically sound arguments give readers much to reflect on and study. Motivating and inspirational, this book will refresh, uplift, and edify the soul of evangelical Christianity.

About the Author

Born in Puerto Rico shortly after Governor Luis Munoz Marin negotiated the Commonwealth status of the island, he lived in California, New York, and over ten other states. A former chaplain’s assistant and MP with the US Army during the Vietnam era, counterintelligence operations officer with the Central Intelligence Agency, and retired from US Customs and Border Protection, Carlos Ramirez Trevino has lived and travelled throughout Latin America, Europe, Africa, the Far East, and the Caribbean. He is also an alumnus of Nyack College and graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia with a bachelor of arts in philosophy. Catholic by birth, he had a life-transforming experience with God at the age of sixteen. His religious affiliation spans the breadth of evangelical and reformed traditions. His initial ambition of becoming an Assemblies of God Evangelist transitioned into membership in the Presbyterian Church. But above all, his theology is Christ-centered.
