Families come in all shapes and sizes. They are all special. Some kids have a mom and a dad, some kids have two moms or two dads. Other kids live with their grandparents, their aunts and uncles, or just one parent. Some kids have lots of siblings and other kids have none. It isn't about what a family looks like on the outside,but how they feel on the inside.

Part of what makes our world so wonderfully diverse is that every family is unique. We Are a Family presents different family structures in a kid-friendly way. No matter how your family looks on the outside, you're still a family.
About the Author
Mallory Hill is from Wilmington, Delaware. Mrs. Hill grew up in a diverse community and saw a lack of diversity in children's literature. After earning her degree in elementary education from the University of Delaware, she decided to pursue her dream of writing children's books with characters as unique as those she grew up with. Her goal is to help children celebrate each other's differences and recognize the things that connect us all. Mallory Hill is married to her wonderful husband, Rob.
