Staircase to Heaven

Daisy, Lola, and Lara thanked Rosita and waved goodbye before moving on to the next stage. As they walked through the second door, they were mesmerised even more than they’d been at first sight of the secret garden. Behind the second door was a beautiful lake. It was as clear as glass and aqua in colour. Tall mountains stood behind the lake, and a gorgeous castle was atop the hill. Suddenly, something bumped into Daisy, grabbed the key from her hand, and ran towards the lake. They couldn’t see anything but footprints in the sand. All three of them ran after the key, following the footprints. As they ran along the shore, Daisy splashed some water on the footprints ahead of her. It was a little puppy that was visible only when touched by water. It started playing with the girls, who gave him lots of cuddles. Then the little dog started barking and looking at the water. It was as if it was trying to tell them to look into the lake. That meant only one thing. They had to go through the water to get to the next step. But they couldn’t figure out how. They then noticed the water moving in the middle of the lake. A mermaid suddenly jumped halfway into the air and back into the water. Many mermaids started playing around in the water. Three mermen swam out of the pack and towards the shore where the girls were. No words could do justice to their beauty. The mermen told the girls they would provide transport to the next stage. Lola, Daisy, and Lara blushed a little, as the mermen were very good looking and strong. The girls waded into the water and held tightly onto the mermen.
