This book is the extension of the author’s 2010 book entitled “One Home, One Family, One Future: A Universalist Philosophy”. When mankind with Neil Armstrong looked from the moon and saw the most beautiful blue-white jewel in the infinite dark space, it not only inspired Neil to utter those famous words, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” as a philosopher, not as an astronaut. The ‘towering American intellectual’, Joseph Campbell as a philosopher before the same scene expressed his elation, “When you see the Earth from the moon, you don’t see any divisions there, of nations or states. This might be the symbol for the new mythology to come. That is the country that we are going to be celebrating and those are the people that we are one with.” Interestingly, the astronauts went to a lifeless moon, pitted by the onslaught of meteorites, but found nothing awesome. What created awe was not the centuries-old romantic moon scene from the Earth; it was the planet Earth seen for the first time from another celestial sphere. Like all other significant turning points of history, like commandments from the top of Mount Sinai or the Sermon from the Mount or a sermon from a knob Mount Mercy, Neil Armstrong’s enunciation from the moon was no less consequential. The question rises, shall we leap forward into a new expanded consciousness to realize our human potentials, our dependence on one another, dependence on our larger human family and the Planet Earth as our home, sharing the same future with all living things? Or shall we return to our old ways of bickering about people, struggling and fighting for wealth, fame, and sex, for nothing more than a world of mundane things? After more than fifty years, we must evaluate as to where we stand in this Modern World. After overcoming gravity, the nature’s greatest force with exponential development of science and technology, bringing us at the doorsill of Mars, mankind should not and cannot allow all the human progress to end up in ashes or dust! Some believe and many wonder if there has been any fundamental change in our “Human Nature” which largely determines the human condition. Are all advancements, as visible physical-material changes of our civilizations only? If the inertia of cultures and civilizations as ingrained habits, successfully oppose change, then we remain condemned to the slavery of violence and war cultures. If so, when will be our salvation from violence and war? When, will the culture of peace arrive to resurrect humanity from the laws of jungle and deep sea? The author tries to prove step by step that the so-called “Human Nature” is not under complete control of genes or nature’s mindless creative forces or force. Many scholars and scientist believe that there has been changes in the so-called “Human Nature”, as the seed of all human civilizations. The changes have been shown by the modern science of biology, sociology, anthropology, history, psychology, statistics, quantum physics and quantum biology. This book shows the evolution of human constructive inner forces(HCIF) plus world constructive outer forces(WCOF), together can overcome the human destructive inner forces(HDIF) plus world destructive outer forces(WDOF). The catalyst in this formula of human-wellbeing is beyond the physical forces of determinism but is the mind’s Free-will, freedom as an intrinsict element of human spiritual dimension. To connect the stages of World Peace, we must start with a ‘General Theory of World Peace’ as ‘The First Hypothesis’. First, we must show that sustainable peace could work out for two nations, before it could work among all nations. For this we need a model of success which could apply to other nation-states. The model for successful keeping of peace between its neighbors and great powers, is Switzerland which historically was bestowed Permanent Neutrality at the peace Congress of Vienna in 1815. The Swiss people have been able to pass the test of time for 205 years and the acid test of two world wars proving sustainability of its peace. Swiss people with their sustainable peace, have also accomplished prosperity, a GDP next to the United States, a highly developed industrial prowess and products, as well as becoming the third in ranking of happiest among 153 nation-states in 2017-19. Now, Switzerland as the gold standard for ‘Permanent Neutrality of Nations’, the next step would be to find out what political, historical, geographical, social and economic conditions made this possible. Following her studies of neutrality of thirteen nations, Professor Audrey Kurth Cronin discovered the “Theory of Neutralization” in 2013. She found seven conditions or criteria for Switzerland to obtain and maintain her Permanent Neutrality successfully for more than two centuries. In final analysis, let us remember that the past attempts made for world peace, i.e., Woodrow Wilson’s League of Nations (LN), United Nations (UN), etc., etc., within past seventy-three years, LN, UN and other peace organizations have had a fair success in containing and even stopping some inter-state conflicts and major power war. But today more than ever, we face the greatest crises that the planet earth and humanity have ever encountered; extinction by biological, chemical, nuclear and ecological catastrophes. Also, unfortunately, the time is working against our future survival. So, we must choose ways and means which time-wise is more efficient and technologically and pragmatically achievable. Since before the discovery of criteria of “Successful Permanent Neutrality” by Professor Audrey K. Cronin, all attempts for World Peace had failed. Not because of the so-called intrinsic “Nature of Man” but logically speaking, in earlier times we did not have a “Mechanism for World Peace”. The scientific approach of possibility and probability studies and a step by step approach and converging of destructive forces are building up enough pressure to blow up of our planet, all that obligates every human being to play their part for the birth of World Peace. Now is the time, when this achievable task has the highest probability of success. If all developping nations start requesting from the United Nations their inalienable rights for self-determination to become permanently neutral nations, the gates of World Peace will certainly open, no doubt with loud screeches.

About the Book
After arrival, I visited museums and monuments in Washington D.C. I had a peak-experience reading Thomas Jefferson’s writing in the dome of the monument, “I have sworn upon the alter of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.” Ever since, my faith in democracy has become unshakable. I dedicate this book to the people of America to relit the torch of democracy for its revival and survival. In the course of history, humanity has struggled to survive, to live with less threats, exercising its free will for comfort and safety. The book is based on all sources of knowledge to find out the probability of victory of constructive forces for peace vs. destructive forces, to allow the realization of World Peace. Professor Audrey Cronin discovered the criteria of permanent neutrality’s success for Switzerland. Comparing it with Afghanistan, she found that there is a good probability for Afghanistan to become a permanently neutral (PN) nation. The author extended the same logic for achieving sustainable World Peace. Of 193 member-states of United Nation 170 meek nations demanding PN, eventually others finding it to their interest also, would guarantee their right for permanent neutrality by the Security Council of the United Nations.
About the Author
B.A. Zikria was born in Kabul, Afghanistan and came to America at age eighteen. He finished college in three years in Grinnell-Iowa, Wisconsin, and George Washington Universities, and received his MD degree from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. After his surgical training at CPMC, he taught medical students at Columbia University for twenty years and trained surgeons for forty-five years. Last twenty years were spent training of Afro-Americans and African physicians at Columbia affiliated Harlem Hospital. He has received ten U.S. Patents. As Emeritus Professor and Special Lecturer he has presented papers and delivered lectures across the United States, Europe, Africa and China.
