About the Author

Marc Gambrill is a professional engineer with a deep passion for personal finance and financial education. After realizing how little practical money management is taught in traditional schooling, Marc applied the same analytical mindset he developed in engineering to take control of his finances and build a clear path toward financial freedom.

Like many families, Marc and his wife entered adulthood with good careers but limited financial guidance. When they sought help, they discovered that much of the advice available focused on selling products rather than building true financial stability. Determined to take ownership of their future, they created a disciplined, principle-based plan centered on intentional spending, consistent saving, and long-term thinking.

Through focus and consistency, Marc and his family achieved complete debt freedom—including paying off their mortgage—in just 7.5 years. On May 31, 2019, they received their Satisfaction of Mortgage notice, marking a life-changing milestone that proved financial independence is possible without extraordinary income or complex strategies.

That achievement inspired Marc to create LearnMoneyFirst, a platform dedicated to helping individuals and families develop strong financial foundations. His approach emphasizes managing debt, living within one’s means, saving consistently, and investing with purpose. Through these principles, his family eliminated all debt, funded their children’s college education, established a six-month emergency fund, invested for the future, and gained lasting peace of mind.

Marc believes financial literacy begins at home and that parents play a critical role in shaping the next generation’s money habits. He advocates for practical, real-world financial education that empowers people to make confident decisions—regardless of income level or background.

In this book, Marc blends personal experience with actionable strategies to help readers take control of their finances, eliminate debt, and build long-term stability. His mission is simple: to empower everyday people with the knowledge, habits, and confidence needed to achieve financial freedom and live with purpose.
