About the Book
Chris held a successful career in medical imaging. As well as managing the nuclear medicine department his specialty was in diagnostic pediatric imaging, also gaining a Master’s degree in research. On retirement after 40 years serving the public and with some further training he accepted a chaplain role in the same hospital. This change impacted his life in many ways. Listening to understand the stories of patients suffering became his focus. His interest in assisting people in distress has extended into disaster recovery chaplaincy. This includes evacuation and recovery centers following fires, floods, cyclones and earthquakes. His fundamental belief in God the creator has survived many tests to the point where the only thing that makes sense to him is that God is real. He lives with his wife and is happily retired with a blended family of 6 children and 10 grandchildren. He has decades of practical faith-experience serving mostly in The Salvation Army.
