About the Book

I lack the understanding why thirty-seven percent of Americans have so much dislike, hatred, and perform acts of racism against the Indigenous Native American Indian, the Alaskan Eskimo, and the Hawaiian First Inlanders.

These three classifications of people are seen as third class citizens by usually normal civilized Americans. Many Whites, Blacks, Asians, and Latinos look down at the native people and their ancient cultures. My question is why?

I mentioned this in a previous novel titled: ENDING DISCRIMINATION. In this novel: RECALLING INDIGENOUS PEOPLE more is written about the violence, and the inhuman policies against these people.

The Indigenous people were here eight to ten thousand years ago and were doing quite well until the European people brought disease, previously unknown illnesses, and death to those living here. This was still going on in the 1800s with Lewis and Clark’s arrival in the Pacific Northwest.

The Indigenous people initially walked across the land bridge and settled in which is now Canada and the United States. They have been badly treated by federal and state laws, threatened, and badgered by local, state and federal rules, and government actions. Enough is enough.

I present this novel as a book of truth and facts. However, my characters in the book make this fictitious. Enjoy reading.

About the Author

After reading the novel I want you to think I can ‘talk the talk’ convincing you I have ‘walked the ‘walk’. I am a retired print writer, editor and a former broadcast journalist.

I am not a well-known or gifted author. I am seen as a modern-day storytelling with ability. This is the fifteenth book I have written and published since 2006. It is the seventh novel.

My primary objective is for you to understand more about the early Native Americans. Indigenous people are disliked or hated more than you realize. Native Americans are looked down on and are despised by far greater numbers than any other race or creed including the people of color.

My goal is to change the mindset of some readers. I am a retired Air Force non-commissioned officer who retired from active duty in December 1983. My successes in life have been noted and recognized.

The professional characters created always make my novels fictitious. However, many facts mentioned within my writing did happened in the referenced location.

Thank you for having the book in hand and I hope you will enjoy reading. My wife Barbara and I live in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
