About the Book

Guide dog for the blind Marco recounts his life “as he saw it,” through his surrogate, his owner, handler and human dad, Tom Hanson. From puppyhood, training, working as a guide dog and into retirement, Marco shares his experiences with people and situations through stories and reflections. Sometimes humorous, sometimes serious or thought-provoking, his memories of life as a guide dog span almost fourteen years, four states, and a variety of adventures, travel, and people and canines he meets along the way. Included is a section on information about guide dogs, guide dog schools, and services for the blind and visually impaired.
