About the Book

The author was born when sharecropping was very popular in South Georgia. Times were hard and difficult for the African American families. She attended segregated schools, with no facilities, nor up to date books. Yet she managed to get her education and became a successful educator. Hence she made a way out of no way.
This is a history book written for her children and grand children.
The main points are: struggle, yet become a success. Don't allow your struggles to hinder you from becoming who God meant for you to become.

About the Author

I am Bettye G.  Jackson, born to a teenage mother and a father who was 10 years older than she was. At the age of two, I came to, permanently, live with my grandparents. My grandmother insisted on me having the best education possible, at the time. I loved to read, and would communicate with anyone. I really was a social butterfly. I worked in the cotton fields so that I could assist in taking care of most of my needs. It was hard work but I learned to make, “A Way Out Of No Way”.
