About the Book

National Parks and National Preserves are two of the several designations used in Government Legislation to identify a type of parksite. Both these types of parksite preserve and interpret for the public a wide variety of historic sites and natural features. At the time this book is written, there are 63 National Parks and 22 National Preserves. All are administered by the National Park Service. I have visited all the National Parks and National Preserves and have been presenting courses on these subjects. These courses consists of photographs and basic information on each parksite as well as comments based on my experiences while visiting the sites. This book is a somewhat expanded version of the presentation materials used during these courses.
