About the Book

The story starts on a farm in the Orange Free State in South Africa. The main character is a Helicopter Pilot, named Piet Du Toit. He volunteers for duty in the Bush War, raging at that time in Rhodesia.(Later to become Zimbabwe) There are various adventures involving big game hunting and there is a romantic element. It covers two generations of a family in South Africa. The story moves to Europe and then back to South Africa, where it reaches its conclusion.

About the Author

Peter Hart was born in Bulawayo, Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe). He was a Cattle Auctioneer and Rancher, (on a 24,000 acre ranch) flying on many occasions to Auction Sales in his own Aircraft. Was involved in the Bush War in Rhodesia, (now Zimbabwe) operating in his own aircraft in the Operational Area. Now retired and living in Camps Bay, Cape Town in a lovely home overlooking Camps Bay beach.
