About the Author

Peter Gilpin DSA ADI. (Driving Standards Agency, Approved Driving Instructor) RoSPA. Advanced Driver (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) APDI (Association of Professional Driving Instructors) ERSC (Signatory of the European Road Safety Charter) IoSH (Institute of Safety & Health) IRM. (Institute of Risk Management) With a background in Bus and Coach driving, moved into driver training to ‘make a difference to road safety. The driver theory test was introduced in 1996. Wrote and delivered Driving Theory Classes in Schools and Colleges. After 10 years teaching learner drivers, in conjunction with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), developed a Management of Occupational Road Risk assessment reporting procedure (M.O.R.R.). Moved into Driving Instructor Training and was the Scottish Regional Manager for The Instructor College, who are the largest Independent trainers of Driving Instructors in the UK. Over 20 years experience in Driver Training and currently a Project Manager delivering Scottish/National Vocational Qualifications for the Logistics Industry.
