About the Book

Dan Paladin meets a headless man in a Chicago alley it catapults him on an extraordinary adventure -- even in his business!

Paladin finds himself in the middle of a mob gang war and along his way, real life characters provide humorous twists to mortal danger high in the mountains deep in the state of Chiapas, Mexico.

What connection does a wealthy looker have with the headless man and why does she seem to be trying to deny it? Where is her man and who is that lurking in the shadows? Is that a villain, or just a tabloid reporter -- and is there a difference?

Oaxaca Connection is the story inside the story of the famous National EYE magazine.

It may be the OJ murder weapon; a set of homicidal twins; or a lumberjack peeing his pants. As you’ll find no story is too big, or trivial for Paladin.

A reader submitted this review on 7/3/00: "Go for it! This is a classic mystery (who’s behind all these killings and how are they connected?) set in multiple locales, that are all vividly depicted and featuring a parade of characters that are truly characters. The story is rapidly paced and is a total romp! Grab this one! It makes for a great evening of sheer entertainment.” :-)

A reader submitted this review on 5/23/00: “I’m a fan of mystery and suspense and stumbled on Oaxaca Connection while browsing through the listings; it caught my eye because I’m planning a trip there next summer. The book was a quick, fun read. The main character, Dan Paladin, was easy to identify with (even though I don’t share his lifestyle), and the plot moved swiftly. I liked the author’s descriptions of the various locales, and some of the minor characters were especially well drawn. The side trips into tabloid lore were intriguing; at first I thought they might detract from the overall story but, in the end, I felt they helped to flesh out the hero and his motivations. For an afternoon or evening’s entertainment, Oaxaca Connection was truly a delight.
