About the Author

JOHN ROBERTSON was born and educated in England and now lives in British Columbia, Canada. When he immigrated to Canada, he joined the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, writing, producing, reporting, commentating and interviewing on radio. His network series on the Indians of Canada won the Ohio award for North American radio documentaries. His next career took him as a teacher to England, the Bahamas, an Indian Reserve and the interior of British Columbia, where he retired as principal of a small village school. The intimacies of village life still provide him with material for some of his published short stories.
