About the Book
Adventure/suspense novel based in the marsh and swamps south of New Orleans.
Rogue CIA assassins kill a anti-Castro Cuban leader as he meets with a local reporter. The agents in association with a Cuban insider plot to steal government funds.
Meanwhile, a maligned black community retaliate against rogue cops who have run down and killed a little girl. A child of Dulce. Those cops work as cover for the covert rogue CIA operation.
A confrontation ensues in a bayou leading to the Gulf of Mexico; the old men of Dulce retaliate against the cops and a major gunfight results.
A daughter of Dulce arrives on the scene with her white boyfriend and a young anti-Castro warrior. The culminating battle has unexpected twists that lead to the young group of defenders of democracy driving the agents into the hands of Castro.
Charlotte, the black heroine, transmits a computer manipulated image to a "plant" at Havana's daily newspaper to further trap the antagonist.
