About the Author

Catherine Karp’s debut novel, Gilded, has been a first place winner in both the 1999 Authorlink New Author Awards Competition and the 1999 Hollywood Opus Magnum Book Manuscript Discovery Awards. The first chapter originally appeared in San Diego Writers’ Monthly. Her second, unpublished novel was a 2000 finalist for the San Diego Book Awards. She received degrees in drama and English, as well as a teaching credential, from the University of California, Irvine, and worked in the field of publishing for five years. She currently lives in San Diego with her husband and daughter.
