About the Book

Secrets From God: His Glorious Mysteries Revealed in Creation is a nonfiction devotional book. This work unlocks the secret that everything in creation is a shadow of Heaven and heavenly truths. Some of these heavenly truths are uncovered for the reader so they may apply them in their own walk with God. Take a stroll through the natural world around us, through the pages of this book, as you uncover celestial secrets from the throne room of God. As these selections reveal, on earth we only have shadows of heavenly truths, but those shadows reveal the invisible glory of our magnificent Creator. Andrew Murray says in The True Vine: "All earthly things are shadows of heavenly realities-- the expression, in created, visible forms, of the invisible glory of God. The Life and Truth are in Heaven; on earth we have figures and shadows of the heavenly truths." This is a book for anyone who is longing to know more about God. Throughout the centuries man has wrestled with his yearnings for some meaning and purpose beyond this temporal existence. Could the awe-inspiring God who created the entire universe care about each of us as individuals? Is He a distant God as the Deists believe? Or could He be a personal and loving God who came to us as a poor, uneducated carpenter in order to share in our sufferings and die to give us abundant life? The authors´ in this work have all hungered after a vital relationship with God. They have found the secret riches they longed for in times of solitary reverence communing with their Lord in nature. Selections from the following Protestant and Catholic authors are included in the book: Jonathan Edwards, St. Eucherius of Lyons, Isaac Watts, D. James Kennedy, Andrew Murray, Henry Drummon, and St. Augustine of Hippo. Each selection is preceded by a biographical summary of the author. Some selections simply expose heavenly truths-- such as the fact that the Zodiacal Constellations represent the gospel account of man´s redemption through Christ. Other selections examine a law of nature and apply a relevant spiritual principle. A good example of this is Henry Drummond´s chapter on growth. In this chapter the reader is prompted to consider the lilies and how they grow. Without anxiety the lilies neither toil nor spin and yet all of their needs are provided. How much more can careworn man trust in a God that will meet his every need! Secrets From God: His Glorious Mysteries Revealed in Creation is just a small sample of the secrets of God as revealed in creation. It is my desire that it will minister to every reader-- leading many to a deeper relationship with God and comforting those who feel like God is deaf to their cries. O, the awaiting delights if we could only get away from the stress and skyscrapers and take a stroll through a quiet forest or meander along the ocean´s shore. When we slow down and take the time to see and hear the secrets from His throne room, we will encounter His still small voice all around us. May this book bless each reader with sweet, enduring communion with their Creator, Redeemer, and Friend.

About the Author

Ms. Evans has degrees in social work and public policy. She is a licensed clinical social worker who has counseled military individuals, couples, and families facing a variety of social, emotional, and psychological problems. Her strong Christian faith has sustained Ms. Evans through many years of her own trials, troubles, and tribulations: A car accident, neighbors using and dealing drugs, unemployment, financial stressors, and multiple car problems— to name just a few. For several years she has spent a great deal of secret time alone with God in various woods and parks. She has continually cried out for the God of the universe to speak to her in the midst of her trials. The author and creator of everything around us whispered to her soul in more delightful, rich, inspiring ways than she ever could have imagined. Nature became her daily tutor. These continuous revelations birthed a desire in her to research the mysteries of heaven as they have been revealed to others throughout the centuries. This book is a result of the treasure she found in the darkness— hidden riches of secret places with God. Currently, Ms. Evans is active in advocating public policies that are conducive to the support and furtherance of traditional families across the United States of America and around the world. She lives and works near Washington, D.C. “There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shores, There is society where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar. I love not man the less, but Nature more, From these our interviews, in which I steal From all I may be, or have been before, To mingle with the universe, and feel What I can ne’er express, yet can not all conceal.” Apostrophe to the Ocean Lord George Gordon Byron
