“ But I Thought I Was Supposed To Be A Rock Star ?!? ” is really a book within a book. The very top surface is a simple story of a boy who had visions of becoming a Rock Star. It didn’t matter if he couldn’t play any instruments or that people kept telling him that he could not sing.  Somehow he believed enough in himself to follow his dream. Of course Ron was convinced he would end up a Rock Star. Isn’t that the way it is supposed to turn out ? Well, things don’t go exactly as planned and the journey is sometimes comedic and most definitely poignant.  

The second layer of the book touches on spiritual issues that will talk to the reader as if it were their own lives that were unfolding. Ron Haney was born and raised in Los Angeles and now resides in San Francisco. Ron spends his time tying to figure out what the hell he should be doing in the world. His creative outlets are music and writing .He has yet been able to feel completely fulfilled, and believes other people feel the same way .
