Now, that's a joke, of course...or at least meant to be.

There is room in golf for humor...lots of it. And you will find a goodly portion in my book.

But the great World of Golf holds in its almost limitless domain a lot more than just humor.

For one thing, fascination. That is the common thread that runs through everything I have ever written about golf. It is a game that fascinates, that grabs hold of you and will not easily let you go.

And if you are anything like me, you admire the great players of the game. You will find in The Green Hills Golf Chronicles that admiration freely reflected.

And as for drama and human emotion, and hopes and dreams...those are all present, too.

I am pretty much what I write about, and what I write about in this book is...

Fox Lyon, the Golf Pro in Residence at perhaps the world's wealthiest golf and country club, not only has to be a master psychologist to deal with the problems of his sometimes eccentric clients, but sometimes has to turn detective, too.
