About the Book

From 12,000 year old "Europoid" remains recently unearthed in Washington state, to the enigmatic stone monuments of New England and upstate New York, to the ancient Gaelic and Phoenician inscriptions found in places as diverse as New Mexico, Louisiana, West Virginia and throughout New England, evidence abounds of pre-Columbian contact in the Americas.

History, and our sense of place in it, so long rigid and pre-defined, needs to open itself to change, to become as fluid as any new medium of the Information Age. In A Voyage to Atlantis, the author takes us on a truly unforgettable, epic journey; one which beckons the reader to come along, to leave that tired, old existence and strike out for the robust challenge but unlimited potential of the new. Buttressed by physical and anthropological evidence every step of the way, it is a journey which, at some point in our collective past, no doubt took place.

And what, the author asks, might it mean for us as Americans, if bands of Europeans, and possibly North Africans as well, had actually arrived upon, settled, and intermarried with native peoples centuries before the arrival of Columbus? Could we in the far-flung Information Age, so clever, so sophisticated, so cynical, actually learn something from "primitive" bands of folks who, by the time Columbus and his cohorts arrived to steal a little gold, had blended into one race, one people, who left the earth intact as they found it?
