About the Book
When Anthony Steel inherited a South Pacific island from his grandfather, everyone, including him, assumed it was a small worthless atoll. As it turned out, the island was a lush tropical paradise that Steel promptly named Angel Island. After discovering diamonds near the dormant volcanic cone on the north end of the island, Steel struck a deal with mining engineer Larry Shook: in exchange for his work and expertise, Larry would become a partner in Angel Island Mining. Both men soon became millionaires.
It wasn´t long before Steel´s leisurely lifestyle was altered drastically when he agreed to help his old friend General Krater find and destroy a microwave tower capable of disrupting the launching of U.S. missiles. The mission takes Steel, his sidekick Pat, the gorgeous redhead Samantha, and a specially trained strike force from Siberia to the depths of the Marianas Trench in the South Pacific. Using logic and ultra hi-tech, Steel and his team not only find the microwave tower, but also discover a missile capable of dispersing a deadly virus in the atmosphere.
The Doomsday Missile is a fast-paced blend of action and mystery.
