About the Author

Adebayo Williams is a foremost African intellectual, award-winning journalist, writer, critic, translator , anthropological consultant and political theorist currently living in Savannah, Georgia , USA. Williams is the author of two previous critically acclaimed novels, The Year of the Locusts, (Longman, 1989) and The Remains of the Last Emperor (Spectrum,1995). Williams has written several scholarly articles and reviews in top academic journals in addition to having co-edited two highly regarded books on democratization and governance in Africa. Before settling in Savannah, Adebayo Williams has taught in universities in Africa, Europe and America. Currently Professor of English, Liberal Arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design, Williams is also Editor-at-large, Africa Today and Honorary Research Fellow, University of Birmingham.
