About the Book

Wanda Ketchum faces retirement at the end of this, her thirtieth year as an elementary school teacher. Deciding she needs a new focus for her life, she gets her best friend, Charlotte, to agree to help her find a man with whom she can build a future. In an effort to become more appealing to the opposite sex, Wanda vows to lose weight by eating healthier and exercising.

Meanwhile, Charlottes husband, Jack, explains to his friend, Justin Case, that he needs to improve his playboy image if he expects to be elected mayor in the upcoming election. His political advisers insist that during the campaign he must appear to be courting a woman with a flawless reputation.

When Jack and Charlotte converse that evening, they decide that their friends may be able to benefit by joining forces. In spite of the awkwardness of their initial encounter, Wanda agrees to pose as his lady-friend during the campaign, and Justin agrees to help her find a potential husband as he squires her around during the coming months.

Their romance is full of tender and amusing moments as they each seek to fulfill their own agenda. Wandas reunion with a former high school classmate provides her with a surprising alternative to her burgeoning interest in Justin. Justins memories of a bitter divorce hinder his unforeseen attraction for Wanda. What chance does this relationship have of making them happy ever after? FAT CHANCE!
