An American Prayer is an autobiographical novel, inspired by Jack Kerouac’s On the Road. The book is a wistful recollection of the author’s summer of 1980, fresh out of college, adrift and aimless in Europe. It’s about finding yourself and finding a voice, growing up and moving on, and the passing of the ’60s generation with the death of John Lennon in New York.
About the Author
Brendan Granahan was born in New York City and raised and educated in County Mayo in the West of Ireland. He is a graduate of University College, Galway. His wife, Sun Joo, is a native of Seoul, Korea. They make their home in Yonkers, New York.
