It’s a time-tested theory that anyone’s life can turn around in an instant.  Inevitably, somewhere along the way, a turn taken instead of going straight, going right instead of left or being in the wrong place at the right time, will have a dramatic effect on one’s life.

Susan Rhodes’ first novel, TWIST OF FATE, takes the reader on a journey filled with intrigue, romance, and adventure.  It all begins, of course, with that simple roll of the dice.  Lee Justin, secure in his small town existance, is turned on his head by the discovery of an unconscious young woman, and with the aid of his family, nurses her back to health.  However, the woman has her own secrets, and though she fights desperately to keep them that way, the truth begins a tidal wave of events which place her, as well as Lee and the family, into a deadly confrontation.

Written in a fast-paced, action-packed style which provides vivid imagery as well as realistic character portrayals, the author is right at home with her insight into human nature and the consequences of our actions.  Once begun, this tale will keep you on the edge of your seat as the tangled web of mysterious events is strategically unraveled and, throughout, Rhodes’ characters pursue different moral dilemmas, which each must sort out for themselves.

About the Author

Susan Rhodes began her writing career as an outlet for boredom, a desire to find new adventure. Realizing that she held to a yearning, like the characters in TWIST OF FATE, to return to old time values, she began a quest to find things left behind with progress and modernization. Throughout her life, and from people she has encountered, she learned the lessons that family and friends should stand by one another in times of need, no matter the circumstances. Born in Oregon, and with two adult children and most of her family still residing there, Rhodes now makes her home in South Texas. She has travelled extensively, from Oregon to Italy to Alaska, and all points in between. This added luster to an already imaginative mind. An avowed car buff, her other passions include painting, fishing, book collecting, and hand-quilting. This is the author’s first book.
