About the Book
Death in Madison is a novel of suspense that begins in the year 1990 in the city of Madison, population 25,000, located between Richmond and Norfolk, Virginia. As Robert Hanley’s life begins to take flight at age sixteen, one friend kills another, and Robert becomes an unwitting accessory to a “perfect murder.” Reluctantly, at first, he agrees with Dwayne Whitestone, the killer, to keep their secret and carry on with their lives as if the “incident” never happened.
Dwayne Whitestone dies in a car accident less than two years later. Robert continues his college education, marries, has a child and plans on taking his secret to the grave.
Death in Madison is a “how’s-it-going-to-end?” rather than a “who-done-it?” Robert’s future comes to fruition; yet, despite his good luck and hopeful thinking, he cannot escape his friend’s murder.
