About the Author

Marian Carter was born and raised in Southern Arizona and later relocated to the Los Angeles area. Carter has a Masters Degree in English Literature and a Junior College teaching credential from California State University at Los Angeles. Carter is a former appeals specialist and hearing representative for the State of California. Now living in West Covina, California, the author took an early retirement in order to complete a novel then in progress. While the author has written for small newspapers and has edited and written for several computer magazines, the novel, Biting the Snake, is Carter's first completed book-length work.
