About the Book

“Hijacked to Havana!” is a suspenseful tale of adventure circa 1969. Prior to Fidel Castro´s arrival everyone considered Havana, Cuba the Paradise of the Americas. After Fidel´s take over, the island became a living hell. Thousands were fortunate to leave, although penniless, with hope for a new life. This story is about one such young man, Carlos Ponce. As a Cuban exile in the U.S. he never forgot his journey out, and now he faces the reality of being forced to return to his native country on a hijacked plane. Fate places a Navy SEAL and an elderly Hungarian man aboard the same flight and they offer their help to avoid the communist authorities detect and capture Carlos upon landing at Havana airport. Unexpected twists may interfere with his return to freedom in Miami.
