About the Book

It’s 1972, and President Richard M. Nixon is engaged in high-wire diplomacy with Mao tse-Tung in Peking. In this fictionalized version of those eleven remarkable days in February, someone is killing reporters on the White House press plane. The president has no hand in the mayhem, naturally, and he isn’t even exactly sure who is behind the deaths. But if he did know, he certainly would act to stop them. Wouldn’t he? Even if doing so meant he’d have to give up on a misinformation ploy directed at the Kremlin? Even if it meant his best chance of securing a nuclear arms agreement would go a’glimmering?

About the Author

Sullivan drained more than one flute of Champagne on press planes while reporting on the diplomatic voyages of seven presidents. He served as senior White House correspondent for the U.S. Information Agency for more than 30 years and now lives at the Jersey Shore, where he is at work on a novel explaining what REALLY happened in the Watergate scandal.
