About the Book

When Muluku discovers a metallic object, he has no way of knowing the adventures that await him and a cast of hundreds both on Earth and throughout the universe. The metallic object is soon fashioned into a sword named Flamma. It may be a magical sword...or it may not be. That all depends on whether the bizarre characters and the oddball journeys that await them are inspired by Flamma or just happen for no explained reason. Perhaps there’s no reason to look for a reason anyway. From the gibberish-spouting Wantum Iounum of Shakestown to the daring SuZen Friggle who explores space while on vacation, Flamma turns up in the strangest of places with the strangest of people. “Flamma: Sword of a Double-Edged Adventure to Nowhere” leads readers to fantastic worlds and far-off lands with a cast of characters that appear to be completely unrelated to one another except that they all come into contact with the sword Flamma. Along the way, satire runs rampant, jokes pop up at every turn, and in the best Shakespeare tradition, everyone dies in the end. Whoops! Did we give away the all-important ending? No, the demise of characters is all just part of the bumpy ride that is “Flamma.”

About the Author

A. Evan Collins is a feisty writer, brewer, explorer and casual hero. Often mistaken for a hoodlum or a transient, he’s lived in San Diego for more than two-thirds of his existence but has found time to frighten customs agents in more than twenty countries on six continents. A former newspaper editor and reporter, rumors have it that he now works for the government.
