About the Book

Who wouldn’t be in search of a quiet place after a twenty year sporadic liaison with a member of a famous funk rock band. The Jade Sheldon story continue to unfold within the three books she eventually write.  Inside the first draft of ‘Backstage Pass,’  we discover how Reed and a nineteen year old  Jade first hook up in California,  and how it ends for her several years later at a swanky night club in Chicago.  Back in the present, Reed is convinced the manuscript will never sell, and for many years, he’s right.  In an attempt to put her diverse life experiences in perspective, Jade writes a second novel surrounding the loss of her first love Mark.  This story, the story of Noelle and Marcel will change the world forever.  It is the year 2010 and life is still a trip.  Fifty two year old  Jade Sheldon is unknowingly on a one way trip to immortality.  By her own making or divine intervention?  In Search of A Quiet Place is an intriguingly, serious, but lighthearted observance of a young African American woman’s gradual rise to fame and fortune.
