About the Book
In the year 2255 AD, an old evil will erupt, releasing the darkness and plaguing all of humanity. It is an evil created over centuries by the wrong doings of mankind. Now with Earth a dark void once again, a leader from a chosen bloodline will emerge to wage war against this evil.
Jonathon Armand, descendent of an ancient Celtic tribe, has been chosen to lead a band of warriors against a force not seen by men or women in over sixteen hundred years.
A seasoned veteran of two wars, Jonathon has seen the horrors before, wishing nothing more than to live his life peacefully. But when a letter from an old friend is placed in his hands, he finds himself back in a forgotten land where Hell has come searching for him. Discovering his ancestry, he struggles to accept his destiny as God’s chosen leader, wanting to fight no more.
Evil, led by a shape-shifting warmonger named Mordon, Jonathon will face his greatest fears and question his own abilities. In a final struggle between the two, Jonathon will have to overcome his weaknesses or all of humanity is destined to be lost in an endless void.
The book covers the life span of the main character, with a number of characters from his earlier years being chosen to join him in his fight against evil and the army of the dead. It questions the integrity of human nature and even has a monologue between Jonathon and Lucifer that might make the reader look differently about the world. In the end, there is a surprise twist that leaves the option open for future books based on the Armand family and its descendents. The book, however, is meant to question the difference between good and evil.
