About the Book

A woman is wrapped in a straight jacket, blind folded and strapped to a hospital bed.  Margo Traxler is guilty of a crime she believes was justified.  This unique woman, an experienced martial artist, and unlikely beauty works in a butcher shop. She had been steadily  pushed to the brink of, then over the edge of her own sanity.  Over the course of time she received many "gifts" as tokens of love from a secret admirer.  These tokens, however, were grotesque portions of human anatomy, each accompanied by a pun filled note of love and adoration.  She vows to eventually make her admirer, who-ever they may be, pay for these atrocities.  And because of the fulfillment of that vow, she is now confined within the Baumlen Psychiatric Hospital.

Jennifer Manney, a young orderly, fresh out of school, innocently befriends Margo, and soon becomes her personal attendant.  Part of Jenni's duties, and her pleasure, include listening to Margo's story as it is recorded by the Chief psychologist at the facility for evaluation.  Soon the friendship develops into a much more intimate relationship as both women discover one another's secrets and nightmares.

The link between Margo and Jenni is a magnificently beautiful blonde doctor who is in charge of the city morgue.  Sheryl Rosen was Margo's best friend and lover before the gifts began to arrive, and unrealized by Margo, Sheryl is also helplessly devoted to her.  Devoted, and obsessed with her.  When Jenni calls Sheryl on Margo's suggestion, Sheryl is utterly astounded by the resemblance between the two women.  Sheryl is unable to resist the temptation to be with Jenni due to her looks, and vicinity to Margo.

Doctor Baumlen, esteemed member of society, Chief Administrator and founder of the Baumlen Psychiatric Hospital; has known Margo since she was only a young girl.  He must now determine if Margo is to be allowed to rejoin the regular world, after committing such a heinous murder.  Her future depends on his decision as to her mental competence.

After much conversation, Margo is able to finally conclude her story.  Describing to Jenni's horror, exactly what she did to her admirer, the night before she was confined.  And though, in her eyes, in her mind, Margo is fully justified, she discovers that she killed the wrong person. Now Jenni and Margo must find a way to discover the real admirer before they can continue their grotesque wooing.
